While December and January looked quite different this year, the holiday season and the start of the New Year brought all of us together with some glimpses of joy and hope.  Following the initial rockiness of 2021 in the form of an assault on our Capitol, together we must reflect, listen, learn, and take action. Looking further into 2021, we have the opportunity to move past the stress and nightmare of 2020 and manifest a year of new beginnings, happiness, growth, and healing.

In this issue’s entertainment section, read about Elliot Page and his influence on the LGBTQ+ community in Hollywood, Momona Tamada’s relatable teenage life, and Alicia Keys’s new selfcare company. In the business section read about Betsy Wade and Lori Beautys’ positive effect on the environment and the journalism industry.

If you’re looking to start the new year off with philanthropy, check out the charity section for a list of places to donate. In the culture section, read about how Heidi D’Amelio is handling her own fame and Megan Rapinoe’s powerful coming out story.

After the culmination of the 2020 elections, the politics section is a must read. You can read all about how Stacey Abrams turned Georgia blue, how Argentina decriminalized abortion, and how Joe Biden elected an all female communications team. As always we provide you with this month’s recommendations for clothing, music, movies, podcasts, and wellness. You can also check out the It List for pop-culture’s latest. We definitely suggest that you listen to Olivia Rodrigo’s top-charting new song, that the world just can’t get enough of. As always, stay hopeful and happy reading!!!
