Actress Busy Philipps started this viral social media campaign to encourage women to publicly share their abortion stories to eliminate any shame around it. With statistics that 1 in 4 women undergo an abortion, the actress believes that everyone likely knows someone who has had an abortion, and she shared her own story with the hashtag. She has also teamed up with the ACLU on a “You Know Me” ad campaign to combat the new legislation in a number of states that are aiming to restrict abortion access.
