Drama, romance, and shocking breakups: season 6 really was Love Island USA’s big one, and fans got to see even more through the reunion. TikTok’s “show of the summer,” Love Island USA, is a Peacock reality TV show that takes place in Fiji. Sexy singles gather on the island with the hopes of finding love. Everyone pairs up into couples, and through countless bombshells, recouplings, and dumpings, everyone’s loyalty and connection is put to the test. A few weeks in, Casa Amor, the ultimate relationship test, takes the villa by storm, leaving many people feeling betrayed.
Big Steps for the Big Three
In the reunion, the people’s princess, Leah Kateb, as well as her two best friends from the villa, most well known as “the PPG,” JaNa Craig and Serena Page, all announced major relationship news. All three of the girls made it to the finale with their respective partners, Miguel Harichi, Kenny Rodriguez, and Kordell Beckham.
Serena and Kordell were crowned the winners, with Miguel and Leah as runners up and JaNa and Kenny in third. Each of them announced that they are now officially official.
Tough Times for one of our Couples
Now, what about our fourth place couple? Our top three couples celebrate their love, but Nicole Jacky and Kendall Washington struggle with the pressure of maintaining their relationship in the real world. Jacky and Washington faced a lot of backlash after leaving the villa. While struggling to adjust to their new lives under the spotlight, Washington lied to Jacky at first about an intimate video being leaked nonconsensually.
Jacky was filled with many emotions as she and Washington argued, but the majority of the ex-Islanders stood by his side, stating that this was a difficult thing to be shared, and he needed time to grapple with it before rushing to support Jacky.
An Intense Breakup for one Couple
“FAWK AARON!” While the top three couples enjoyed a happy reunion filled with love and positivity, the situation was different for Kaylor Martin and Aaron Evans. After weeks of ups and downs in the villa, their relationship came to a dramatic end during the reunion.
Martin spent her last few weeks in the villa constantly crying, but no tears were shed during the reunion. Kaylor finally said her big one, confronting Aaron for all of his Casa Amor shenanigans with Daniela Ortiz Rivera, calling him out on his lack of accountability and ultimately ending their relationship, with much support from her best friend, Liv Walker.
Reminders of an Explosive Dumping
Martin’s explosive breakup did steal the spotlight, but Andrea Carmona still faced backlash and questioning for her choices after leaving the villa. After coming in as a bombshell, Carmona coupled up with Rob Rausch, who was previously coupled with Leah Kateb.
In an intense recoupling, Walker, Martin, Kateb, and Page all deliberated who to send home out of Jacky, Carmona, and Craig. Ultimately, they decided to send Carmona home. Kateb told Rausch that she “tried to take a backseat” in the voting, to which Walker and Martin disagreed, causing a lot of tension between them in the villa.
In the reunion, the uncut clip was revealed, releasing any tension between the ex-Islanders. After her time in the villa, Carmona spoke about the Islanders on social media many times, in purely negative ways.
As the Islanders left the villa behind and began new chapters in their relationships, the season 6 reunion gave fans closure on the most intense moments. While some relationships stood the test of time, others buckled under pressure, leaving fans desperate for the next season of drama, love, and unexpected twists. One thing’s for sure: Love Island USA Season 6 won’t be forgotten anytime soon.
