Spring is coming! The hints of warmer weather that have popped up, especially on the East Coast, have boosted spirits. Even better, the expedited vaccine distribution provides us hope that a return to normalcy is on the horizon. Join us this issue as we celebrate Women’s History Month and February’s Black History Month.

In the entertainment section, be sure to read about the best Super Bowl commercials and the barriers Phoebe Bridgers is breaking in the music industry. The entertainment section also spotlights two new films: Promising Young Woman and ‘Black Art Is Black Money.’ Moreover, in the culture section read about the most sustainable mascaras on the market and the influential mothers of civil rights icons.

In the politics section, read about gender-based violence in Puerto Rico and AOC’s powerful statement following the Capitol riots. In the sports section, read about the women who made history as the first female referees for the Super Bowl! Meanwhile, in the business section you can read about the impact of women throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the charity section, read about how Tik Tok promotes social activism. As always, we provide you with recommendations, which this month primarily highlight Black History Month related learning opportunities. Happy reading and stay safe!
