Park Avenue Summer by Renée Rosen

This novel tells the story of Alice Weiss, a young woman new to NYC who lands a job working for the newly hired Helen Gurley Brown, the first female editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Magazine. While many editors and writers resign in protest rather than work under the “scandalous” Gurley Brown who had written the bestseller “Sex and the Single Girl” and others on staff try to sabotage the new editor-in-chief, Weiss is committed to help Gurley Brown succeed. This book is sure to give great insights into the legendary Helen Gurley Brown’s early days at Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Heart Talk By Cleo Wade

We recommended this book when it came out last year, but decided to put it back on the list because it is such a great book to have and just flip open to a page and get inspired.
