Selena Gomez, world renowned singer-songwriter and actress, is officially married to music producer Benny Blanco as of September 27, 2025. The couple has been publicly together since December 2023, and they announced their engagement in December 2024 via an Instagram post with the caption “forever begins now…” showcasing photos of the couple and the new ring. Blanco responded in the comments saying, “Hey wait… that’s my wife,” along with congratulatory statements from celebrities including Taylor Swift and Jennifer Aniston. The Instagram carousel began with a close up of the star’s six-carat marquise-shaped diamond stone set on a pavé band, with her nails a chic pink. We see Gomez sitting on a picnic blanket, the possible engagement setting. At the end of August, Gomez traveled to Cabo, Mexico with her closest girlfriends for her bachelorette and Blanco to Vegas. It felt as though the entire world was awaiting the news of the wedding.
The couple began the special weekend with a rehearsal dinner on Friday night at a mansion in the private Hope Ranch in Santa Barbara, and the ceremony took place at the Sea Crest Nursery. About 170 of the couple’s closest friends and family attended, including famous names like Paul Rudd, Martin Short, and Steve Martin. On The Drew Barrymore Show, Gomez added that “Marty [Short] is due to give a speech,” and “Steve [Martin] will probably pull out his banjo,” though none of this has been confirmed.
An insider to Us Weekly Magazine reported that Gomez and Blanco successfully brought everyone to tears with their vows. “Everyone there was sobbing, it was extremely emotional,” said the insider. It was said that Blanco planned a majority of the wedding, the decor modeling that of his Beverly Hills home. Additionally, the insider mentioned that there were rugs and carpets all over the venue because Blanco does not like to wear shoes. The couple commissioned Nobu as the caterer for the reception, with numerous cocktail tables set up rather than a formal dinner. Options for dinner included steak, sushi and fish dishes, and an all-you-can-eat ice cream bar for guests to enjoy. The night concluded with a Jewish hora dance, including full participation from all the guests.
Gomez and Blanco shared photos of the day via their Instagrams, where it’s apparent that Gomez wore not one, not two, but three custom Ralph Lauren dresses during the wedding. Blanco also appeared in a Ralph Lauren suit. The first double-faced, embroidered, silk satin gown featured a halter neckline with macramé collar, flowing into a wide skirt with a long train. For the ceremony, Gomez wore a silk lace dress that features 300 lace flowers hand molded and applied, taking over 200 hours to execute. Crystal embellished the halter dress, and Gomez slightly nodded to her love of her husband with a small heart embroidered between the lace, showing “S + B” and the date of the wedding. The third and final dress, simpler than the others, showcased a double neckline, influencing future wedding dresses to come in 2026.
The long-anticipated celebration of the couple touched everyone’s hearts, giving fans the authenticity they hoped for. The wedding weekend not only marked the beginning of Gomez and Blanco’s marriage but also created a new cultural moment that fans will remember for years to come.
